Final Blog!

IN THIS WEEK'S BLOG, please provide a summary of the highlights of your learning for the semester. I'd also especially like to know how the small group blogging experience was for you? If there are any other comments, including critiques, about the course, PLEASE share them with me and Erin.

This class truly opened to my eyes as to how environmental issues truly impact our  health. I was always aware of how important it was to protect the environment and to be environmentally aware of issues, but I never took the time to go in depth regarding certain issues, such as climate change, antibiotic resistance, toxic chemicals, etc. it was mind-blowing to learn about how many toxic chemicals we are exposed to on a daily basis, particularly in cleaning and personal care products, yet most people have no idea how toxic these products could be. the topic that hit home for me was when we learned about the experience of tobacco farm workers. I come from a family of immigrants who were farm workers, so this specific topic made me extremely emotionally and allowed me to connect with the class even more.  This class was so much more than I had expected and I truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge and passion with us. You have truly inspired us. Thank you.
