Rising CO2 will leave crops—and millions of humans—less healthy
Due to the elevated levels of CO2 in our environments, we are expected to see a decrease in levels of protein, iron and zinc in some crops, such as rice, wheat and corn. Due to the decrease in nutrients found in such crops, an additional 175 million people could become zinc deficient, and 122 million people could become protein deficient. Many people rely on such crops due to them being cost effective, which mean those who are apart of the working class with be impacted the most- which is extremely concerning and problematic. Any thoughts?
